Our Commitment to Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this Notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.
The Information We Collect
From Volunteers:
Individuals interested in volunteering may provide their email address in order to receive information for upcoming volunteer opportunities. Response to these inquiries is strictly voluntary and not required to access the website and calendar of events. We DO NOT sell or share your personal information with any person or organization, except as authorized by you or as may be required by law or court order.
Information We Receive From You to Make a Donation
When you come to Bake Me Home’s website to make a donation, you will need to provide a minimal amount of information including the amount of your donation, your name and email address. Your physical mailing address may also be collected if this information is provided with your Paypal account. This information is used by Bake Me Home primarily to allow us to express our gratitude for your contribution, which MAY consist of the inclusion of your name in our Annual Report among other means. If you do not wish your names to be included as one of donors, simply indicate this with your donation, or email us.
Information Necessary to Process Your Donation
In order to process a monetary donation, Bake Me Home has partnered with a payment processing service provider. Any personal information collected during this process is not shared with anyone except Bake Me Home and this payment processing service provider in order to securely process your transaction. Personal information, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number and credit card information, is collected to process the transaction. This information is not shared with any other third party.
Information Collected When You Contact Us Via Email
You may contact Bake Me Home through the link on our website to our email account.
Participation in this area is completely voluntary and it is your choice whether or not you wish to disclose your personal information, such as your email address, name, company, address and telephone number. We use return email addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses may be used to share future information about Bake Me Home, but will never be used for any other purpose and are not shared with any third parties.
Information Collected When You Post A Comment On This Site
When you comment on our site, cookies are stored on your computer. This is purely a convenience, so you won't need to re-type your information again when you want to leave another comment. Three cookies are set for commenters containing your name, email, and URL of the post.
The actual cookies contain hashed data, so you don't have to worry about someone gleaning your username and password by reading the cookie data. A hash is the result of a specific mathematical formula applied to some input data (in this case your user name and password, respectively). It's quite hard to reverse a hash (bordering on practical infeasibility with today's computers). This means it is very difficult to take a hash and "unhash" it to find the original input data.
This is a fancy way of saying these digital cookies are much more secure than our yummy Bake Me Home cookies, which tend to get shared freely and consumed quickly.
The Way We Use Information
Our website is used primarily to provide information about Bake Me Home. Any information we request from visitors to our website is done on a purely voluntary basis. Disclosing personal information is not required to access the site. Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us on-line, via email or otherwise.
Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, Bake Me Home is committed to going above and beyond what is required by law:
- This website is not intended for the use of persons under the age of 18, and is not structured to intentionally attract anyone under 18.
- We never knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information (including on-line contact information) from persons we actually know are under 18. If you are under 18, please do not provide any personal information on this website.
- In the event that we actually know a person under age 18 is attempting to provide personal information on this website, we will not accept the information and will delete any information already received from the person.
Our Commitment to Privacy of Armed Forces Personnel
The information we collect on armed forces personnel (names and addresses) for our Bake Me BACK Home program are not disclosed to the donor. Names and address of donors are not provided by Bake Me Home to armed forces personnel. If donors choose to provide names and addresses to their donation recipient they do so on a purely volunteer basis. Any use of names of military personnel on our website or any promotional literature is done so only with their permission.
How To Contact Us
Should you have any questions or concerns about these privacy policies, please email us.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
The terms of this policy may be changed periodically. Your use of this website following any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the terms as changed.
To sum up, we bake cookies, we ship cookies, and the few digital cookies on this site are safe and secure. Relax and enjoy our website.
