Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup oatmeal (quick oats)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (Note: our cookie jar mix does contain vanilla powder)
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup (4 oz) melted salted butter (but not too hot!)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (we use peanut allergy SAFE chocolate chips)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients together with a large spoon. We have found that our recipe works best if you mix the dough by hand rather using an electric mixer. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies.
For best results, we do NOT recommend using insulated cooking sheets.
PLEASE NOTE:
For those of you baking from our jars of signature Bake Me Home oatmeal chocolate chip cookie mix, we recommend using them within nine months of the date of the back of the tag.
