Inter Parish Ministry

The families that receive the tote bags are always surprised and appreciative for the baking opportunity. The children’s eyes also “light-up” when they hear chocolate chip cookies.

YMCA Dove House Shelter

Our families who are leaving the shelter are so excited and thankful for the items. We had one family call us back excited to share the story of baking the cookies in their new home.

MEAC (Madisonville Education and Assistance Center)

It has been a wonderful experience having the Bake Me Home Tote Bag and Picture Me Home Programs offered to the clients at our organization. It is not too often that as a service provider we get to see our clients beam with excitement but these programs are sure to bring on the smile. Most of them struggle with overwhelming challenges as well as the day to day hurtles they have to get beyond to meet their basic needs.  It is so nice to not only be able to offer the more than basic need solutions. I feel fortunate to be the person who can share the tote bags that were made with so much thought and care. With the Picture Me Home Experience, the volunteers and staff are also part of the package. There is nothing like the joy that is passed on with each family picture. Keep up the good work! You make such a big differnce in the lives of the families serve in such a unique, meaningful and wonderful way!

UpSpring

Your programs allow our children to create memories that are tangible – something they otherwise would not be able to do on a regular basis.

It was an awesome blessing to complete the program at the shelter. When I received my keys I was surprised to get a Bake Me Home bag filled with all the things I need to make homemade cookies for my son and me, including the homemade cookie mix. The envelope containing the letter and the gift card was a huge help to us. When we made the cookies our new apartment smelled like home. Thank you so much.

When I first opened the Bake Me Home Bag I felt happy, like it was a new start for me and my son. The thought of being able to make cookies with him would give us a new memory; we would have in our new home. The gift certificate to Kroger’s was an extra surprise. Thank you Bake Me Home, you made us feel like we had a new SWEET start with the wonderful chocolate chip cookies!

Resident’s Child

What they do really means a lot to me, my sisters, and my mom. They make us smile, and I really like smiling!

“Thank you very much for the most delicious cookies! Our veterans loved them. We love your devotion to our veterans, and through them, our country.”

Major Chris Lewis

Got the cookies!! And they were almost gone in the first 48 hours. I think a few of the folks here substituted the cookies for dinner the first night that I had them.

MAJ Jay Hebert

Emma and Amy, thank you for sending us the cookies! You are right, it made me think of all the wonderful people back home. I really appreciate all that you do and the positive impacts you have on the lives you touch with your generosity. Have a wonderful day and thanks for your support to our deployed troops.

Jason Lake, US Army

My unit is a support unit and sometimes we deliver supplies to soldiers that are holed up or in rural areas and I have taken your boxes to them and they are very happy to have homemade cookies. Thank you very much for the wonderful cookies, these cookies were by far the best cookies I have ever had during deployment. They are lucky to have a support unit where some infantry units do not. I am a driver and I would not trade jobs with them and do not envy them at all. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to give them something from home.
